Skipton’s CXBridge publishes its AI operating model in full, free to use
3 November 2026

CXBridge has published the full CUSCOE® operating model online, a week after presenting the framework at the International Conference on Knowledge Management and Information Systems (KMIS 2026) in Angers.
The CUSCOE operating model is aimed at organisations putting AI into the services they sell. It sets out how to organise technical staff into competency-based Centres of Excellence, why customer success rather than sales should own the customer after signature, how to price services where AI carries variable costs, and what finance, legal, compliance, IT and the board each need to change.
The model is now available at cuscoe.cxbridge.co.uk under a Creative Commons licence (CC BY-NC-SA). Any organisation can implement it in its own business without a licence fee. Consultancies wanting to sell CUSCOE-based services or training need a commercial licence from CXBridge.
The research behind the model was peer reviewed and published in the KMIS 2026 proceedings, in a paper co-authored by CXBridge founder Damian Copeland and Kathy Mogford. The model itself is archived on Zenodo with a permanent DOI, so researchers and practitioners can cite the version they use.
“Big consultancies publish the insight and sell the model,” said Copeland. “We’ve published the model. An operating model you can’t inspect is a black box you’re buying on trust. If ours is right, people can see why for themselves, and if they want help putting it in, that’s what we do.”
